About
What is this all about?
There are a disproportionate number of people in business who have or think they have ADHD. If you run your own business or work within the corporate world, there are huge strengths but also continual struggles from having ADHD.
Where do you go when you want to talk about your ADHD? Currently, there aren't many options available to us.
We are setting up the ADHD Business Network (Bristol), for people with ADHD to network, share tips and experiences, and discuss challenges. There will be monthly speakers and a social element to the events and it will be a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Some adults with ADHD have very successful careers. Others may struggle with a variety of challenges, including poor communication skills, distractibility, procrastination, and difficulty managing complex projects. We find that most people are somewhere in the middle.
Risk-taking comes naturally to many people with ADHD. Whether driven by boredom or a need for change and new things, people with ADHD simply gravitate toward the new and exciting. Our ability to look at the bigger picture and come up with innovative and exciting ideas makes us great in business. We just sometimes need a bit of support.
Who are we?
We are a group of people in Bristol, that are in business, that were diagnosed with ADHD. We realised that a lot of other people in business that we know also have ADHD, although they may not even know it.
When we looked for support we ended up having to lean on each other as we couldn't find anywhere that could help us navigate the condition in a business context.
Are you a business networking group?
Not really, we are a support group for people that are in business that have ADHD. There is no selling and no concept of creating business, it is primarily just to create a safe space so that we can share our challenges and help each other to develop and achieve our goals.
